You will receive an reminder which will advise what you need to bring along. Should you wish to bring your own pillow and any other comforts please do so. We recommend to wear something warm and comfortable so you can just lay back and enjoy this beautiful experience.

You will be invited to lay down or sit in a comfortable position. If laying on your back or side is not available, your practitioner will work with you to find a comfortable alternative. You may be offered pillows and blankets to aid relaxation. Props, such as bolsters, may be provided to help support your body. The key is to have your spine nice and straight and the physical body as relaxed as possible.

Every sound journey will be unique, and each practitioner will have their own style. A typical session will last for 45 to 60 minutes. Tillie will usually start with some gentle breathwork and a guided meditation to help you to relax and get ready for receiving the sounds. During a sound bath different instruments will be used to create a peaceful, meditative experience. The instruments may include the gong, tuning forks, singing crystal bowls, singing Himalayan bowls, chimes and cymbals. Each instrument has a different tone and frequency and will bring about different feelings and emotions.

The different frequencies help to alter our brain’s state and bring our focus from our thoughts. Some people feel a tingling sensation in the hands or different areas of the body or sometimes a change in temperature. Some may experience visualizations of colour or shapes. Or you may receive guidance by having strong thoughts about a particular area in your life. As we relax and quiet our thinking mind, we can connect with our true self and learn to trust our thoughts. You will experience the sounds differently each time, there is no right or wrong. You will experience the sounds however it is that you need them. The key is to let go of any expectations and trust the process.
